Lucky’s Record Bar opened in 2021 in a tiny courtyard unit in Redruth, becoming the first new record shop to open in Cornwall for many years. Features on BBC Radio 6 Music’s Craig Charles show and in Cornwall Live’s ‘50 Coolest Places in Cornwall’ helped spread the word, and in August 2022 Lucky’s moved to a larger shop in the centre of town.
Today, the shop stocks a carefully curated selection of vinyl, with a particular love for independent releases, soul and jazz, with a growing collection of second-hand records, all cleaned and graded.
Lucky’s also runs Redruth Record Club, helping to build a community of music lovers who can regularly be found in the shop drinking coffee and talking music.
Expect a specially selected collection of pre-loved vinyl spanning soul, jazz, punk and indie, alongside some more mainstream classics.
