House Sparrow grew from Ellie’s lifelong love of being creative and a decision to turn that passion into a new career, refurbishing and giving new life to old furniture.
With a particular love of chairs, upholstery and dining furniture, Ellie takes tired or forgotten pieces and transforms them into something beautiful, useful and ready to be enjoyed again.
Dining furniture holds a particular appeal. Tables and chairs become part of family meals, celebrations, conversations and everyday life, and Ellie loves the idea of giving these pieces a second chance to become part of many more memories.
At the heart of House Sparrow is a simple idea: making better use of furniture that already exists rather than allowing perfectly good pieces to be discarded.
