Cardigan Club 75 grew out of Andrea’s lifelong love of vintage and secondhand clothing. From wearing her dad’s suede waistcoat and long-collared shirts as a teenager, to scouting brocantes across France and trading at vintage fairs around the South West, vintage has always been part of her life.
About eleven years ago, Andrea bought her first vintage mohair cardigan at a festival — black, with appliqué across the shoulders and back. It was warm, bold and unlike anything else she owned. She has been wearing and collecting them ever since.
Today, Cardigan Club 75 specialises in 1980s and 90s mohair and angora cardigans, chosen for their colour, craftsmanship and personality. As Andrea puts it, “Mohair is the drama, with big shoulders and fluff right up around your neck. Angora is the everyday softness.”
Every cardigan is different, some with appliqué that is a work of art in itself, and each one gets the chance to be worn and loved all over again.
